Ella has it rough. She grew up only knowing her dad was a sailor, his name was Steve, and she had his watch. Her mother stripped to make a living until she died. Ella only wants to make it through high school so she can go to college. She wants a normal life. Unfortunately, she must do the same things as her mom in order to eat and have a place to stay.
Callum Royal is her dad Steve's best friend. When Steve dies after he found out he was a father, Callum finds out he is the guardian of Ella. He wants the best for her. The problem is his 5 boys are jerks and cause Ella a lot of heartache, especially Reed.
After too much drama, Ella decides it's all too much.
I really wasn't sure If like this series, but so far it's really good. I could hardly out the book down. And now I MUST pick up the next! These boys are crude, sexy, and users of women. They have some big family issues, and poor Ella gets the brunt of it. There's quite a bit of foreplay, some sex, and lots of eluding to it as well. But the chemistry is there and the feels between all the characters will make you frustrated, happy, mad, and laugh.

Ella ran and now everyone is worried sick. What she saw can't be unseen. What Reed did affects everyone in the house, and it was a stupid mistake. Brooke, Callum's girlfriend is coniving and doesn't care what she has to do to get Callum to marry her. She wants money, and she wants Ella to forget Reed and become like her.
Reed realizes he loves her and will do anything to win back her love and trust. She's the only girl that has ever seen him for who he is. When Ella returns, he has his work cut out for him. I'm glad she gives him a piece of her mind and lays it all out there. Too many books have the girl quickly forgiving and forgetting. Not her. She's strong and not a pushover. But the end of this book might just undo the entire family because secrets are unraveling quick and Reed might not get out this mess.
Like book 1, there is sex, fights, bullying, etc. These kids go to school and this is the most inept school. Teachers are afraid of the students. Students run the school. Kids are fighting constantly, doing drugs on campus, having sex in the bathrooms between periods, and not a word from an adult. Parents then payoff the administration. Why would you send your kid there??? Prestige, I guess. It's a private school. Anyway, even Ella gets into it when she's pushed to the edge. I'll say I like these stories, because they are hard hitting and real. Real world problems and kids trying to save face. It's not unrealistic or fanciful.
So the question we must all ask after this book is, who done it?

So, Brooke is dead and Reed is accused of killing her only he insists it's not him. On the same night of her death, Ella's dead father shows up. This book is frustrating because you really want to believe Reed didn't do it, but the evidence is against him. And then, Ella is frustrated becay this man she never knew who was supposed to be dead just waltzes in the front door and starts telling her what to do, who she can date, and how to act. I don't blame her for wanting to run again. The stress this poor girl endured for years is catching up with her. The epic conclusion to this story though was awesome. I honestly didn't see it coming. You'll be surprised.

This is actually a novella and is book 3.5 in the series. It catches us up with the eldest Royal brother Gideon who broke yo with Savannah two years ago after sleeping with Dinah. Dinah is Ella's father's wife. Yep...this house is something else. But he did it to protect Savannah from the wicked woman. Not noble at all but men don't think that way sometimes 😆.
This book takes us back and forth in time letting us in on their story and his redemption. It's a good one about forgiveness and letting oneself understand the circumstances in order to let go of the hurt. I really like Savannah. She's tough under her shell yet gives all or nothing. And Gideon is actually committed to her, he just messed up royally (see what I did there...ok bad pun 😆).
Another good book.

The series has moved onto the next youngest brother, Easton. Easton is the kind of guy who parties too much, drinks too much, and has his way with a lot of women. He's also the kind of person who tries to help and somehow messes things up.
Hartley, a new girl to school just wants to lay low, but when she denies Easton the time of day laying low is impossible. He tries all his best moves but they don't work. Easton settles for friendship.
Hartley has plenty of family secrets, Easton only wants to help, but another jealous mean girl at school creates major problems for Hartley. And wow, this book ends in a serious yikes, cliff hanger!
Of all the books so far, this is probably the tamest even though Easton is a man-slut. Unlike the other books, sex is eliludes to and not detailed. This one really deals with his addiction, and his attempts to deal with life when it gets heavy.
I liked this book and Hartley. She's not a pushover. She's a hard worker, and she's willing to sacrifice herself for her younger sister. Easton has some very hard things to overcome at the end of this story. I'll admit...I feel like I need to keep going.

Hartley had lost her mind...well her memory after an accident. Her enemies aren't slow about taking full advantage of her situation either. Easton is distraught over Hartley's diagnosis since he blames himself but truly it's his brothers fault who is also dealing with a medical crisis. He realizes he loves her and will do anything to help her either remember or make new memories.
This series wraps up Ella's dad drama and case in a dramatic way. Hartley's idiot family is dealt with, and so are Easton's addictions after a very dramatic night in a park. The books wrap up with a very happy ending.
All in all, this series has lots of drama, action (XX), fights, and love. The guys are pigs at times and treat most women like trash, but they are loyal and sweet to the ones they love. I'll warn there are plenty of triggers, so if you're sensitive to that be aware. Anyway, great series with lots to think about.
