Chase is commissioned to mess with her, make her think she's welcome, and then make her life worse than it was. Then her roommate dies who is the societies princess. This sends Callie into a tailspin to find out what is going on and what this society really is.

Callie and Chase have come to some common ground though they aren't sure if their growing feelings for each other can surmount to anything. He wants to keep his status as prince with the hopes of ruling someday, but be also can't deny Callie's past and what the Virtues are actually doing to their girls. Which btw is TERRIBLE! And another death surrounding Callie nearly undoes her. All she wants is to destroy the society including the Nobles (boys) too.

Wow, what a finish! This book in this series had many feels: anger, hatred for the queen and new princess, hope for love, that heartbreak when everything falls apart for her, and the moment you want to help her push. It's so good! And she seems to get her happily ever after.
This whole series was keeping me stuck to my tablet. I didn't want to put it down. However, I want to say, each book has language especially during the sex scenes, the sex scenes are graphic for it being in a young adult category (I also labeled in New Adult), there is TONS of hazing and is beyond bullying. I'm talking ruin your life kind of rumors and words thrown amongst other nasties actually thrown at her. Callie though takes it like a soldier and pushes on, something I wish all teens could do. She doesn't stop until the answers are out in the open. Those answers though include underage drinking, sex, rape, bribery, etc. You know, the things secret societies are always rumored to have. We also have trigger warnings for death and psychological trama. But like I said, it also has strong perseverance and a just ending.
Each book ends with a cliffhanger so this series will need to be read together and not as stand alones.
