This is  the first book in this series, and so far I'm hooked! The main character, Fayre, is a human who's life has been dedicated to keeping her family fed. Her hunting skills get her in trouble when she kills a faerie. Through a treaty between the humans and the faerie kingdoms, she is whisked away to a land that is far more dangerous than the woods by her home. Tamlin, the High Fae of the Spring Court is her captor, but he has plans for Fayre. Plans that must include her falling in love with him to save the entire fae kingdom. 

I have to say, Sarah did an excellent job with our main character. She's stubborn, illiterate, strong, and yet her heart is pure when it comes to the lives she's impacted. It's her heart that is tested the most as she struggles to free the fae from an evil queen who holds most of the power. I love the tests she was given, the help she gets from unexpected places, and the strength Tamlin shows in silent solidarity is written so well!

Ok, I'm gushing. I need to finish this review so I can move onto the next book in this series!

Things to know: yes, there's sex, it is glossed over with only a little detail. There is brutal killings and death. There's imprisonment and extreme poverty. She is tortured.

There are 4 books in this shifter series: Quarterback Alpha, Fullback Protector, Wide Receiver Outcast, and War Between the Packs.

Let's see... We have a new girl in town whose mom is the new veterinarian. She gets the attention of the next Alpha, the quarterback, which brings attention from the star cheerleader who has claimed the quarterback. There's lots of challenges, and the main character has several self esteem issues. We also have Liam trying to stay away from Cora to protect her which only hurts her esteem more. That's my biggest complaint of this story.

As the books progress there is a struggle for positions within the pack as the boys mature into their full wolves. Then there is a struggle with a rival pack which involve Cora putting her in danger.

Interesting story line for a shifter romance. It has an interesting ending, not what I thought would happen. Give it a whirl!

The main character moves in with her aunt and uncle in a small town. She meets a boy, there's an instant attraction, but he's a vampire. The problem is that she's not, then gets attached to his brother which needs corrected, there's a witch coven, other vamps, and secrets galore.

I liked this series even though it was long. There was lots of steamy romance and action. There were definitely parts where your heart broke for Chloe and the things she had to endure. But she is strong and a good main character.

I say enjoy this one!
