Welcome to my book review blog! I decided to finally take the plunge and begin reviewing books I've read. I read quickly and often. So far this year, I've read nearly 300 books! I'm hoping this blog will help you gain a better understanding of a book you want to read (or many). I plan to be completely honest, because truly that's why you're here.
I read mostly young adult romance (trying to keep it clean) and dystopian. Those are my favorite, but I will read anything except erotica (if I can help it) and non-fiction. Some erotica will pop in here because it's hard to find adult content in romance without it when it's not listed under clean and wholesome. So when I come across books with more graphic scenes I will give you a heads up. It's your choice from there!
Here's how you'll find my scores before each review:
💔 One broken heart means it was terrible or I couldn't finish it. I doubt you'll see many of these. I don't like to review books I've not finished, but sometimes you just can't keep going.
❤️ 1-5 Levels of like to love. The more the better! Fives will be rare for me. The book has to really touch me!
❤️❤️❤️💔 Full hearts with a broken heart just mean it's a half heart. So this would mean 3.5 hearts.
🔥 Shows steam or suspense that kept me on my toes.
❌ Each X will tell you the level of nautiness/erotica I found while reading. 1 means a pretty low level love scene with some sexy details where three is many details and many, um, scenes😂.
I'm a Christian, so really, I try to avoid X's, but some slip in.
Aside from reviewing books, I'm a published author with three books to my name thus far, Courting Hannah, Shade Valley Cabin, and Bennett's Choice. Reading many books has really helped my writing, and I also know that reviews are essential to inde authors like myself to get our names out there. I hope to review more independent self-published authors than well known authors.
